Low-Cost Localization for Multihop Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Networks - 2016 PROJECT TITLE : Low-Cost Localization for Multihop Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Networks - 2016 ABSTRACT: In this paper, we tend to propose a completely unique low-cost localization algorithm tailored for multihop heterogeneous wireless sensor networks (HWSNs) where nodes' transmission capabilities are different. This characteristic, if not taken under consideration when coming up with the localization algorithm, may severely hinder its accuracy. Assuming completely different nodes' transmission capabilities, we have a tendency to develop 2 completely different approaches to derive the expected hop progress (EHP). Exploiting the latter, we tend to propose a localization algorithm that's in a position to accurately locate the sensor nodes attributable to a new low-price implementation. Furthermore, we have a tendency to develop a correction mechanism, that complies with the heterogeneous nature of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) to further improve localization accuracy while not incurring any extra costs. Simulations results show that the proposed algorithm, whether or not applied with or while not correction, outperforms in accuracy the foremost representative WSN localization algorithms.
