A High-Accuracy Metric for Predicting the Power De-Rating of RF Power Amplifiers PROJECT TITLE :A High-Accuracy Metric for Predicting the Power De-Rating of RF Power AmplifiersABSTRACT:Cubic metric (CM) is being recognized as a higher various to see the ability de-rating of radio frequency power amplifiers (PAs) than peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). However, during this letter our analysis shows that really the CM remains inaccurate to predict the specified PA power de-rating that satisfies the out-of-band radiation (OBR) demand of a Communication system. Any, by investigating the impact of the third-order nonlinearity of PA on the OBR, we tend to propose a completely unique metric. Compared with PAPR and CM, the proposed metric has a robust correlation with the OBR, and so it provides much higher accuracy in determining the required power de-rating of PAs, that is verified by extensive experimental results.
