A multilevel transformerless inverter with a ground connection between the PV negative and positive terminals. PROJECT TITLE : A Multilevel Transformerless Inverter employing Ground Connection between PV Negative ABSTRACT: The issue of common mode (CM) leakage current must be handled carefully for the safe operation of transformerless grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) inverters. CM leakage current is fully eliminated by connecting the grid neutral point directly to the PV negative terminal, eliminating the PV stray capacitance in this paper's multilevel transformerless inverter scheme. Four switches, two capacitors and one filter inductor are all it takes to get the job done. With this inverter, a minimum of 27% and a maximum of 100% greater output voltage can be achieved for the same dc-link voltage, compared to half-bridge topologies. Analysis of the suggested inverter and its switching pattern to provide multi-level output while maintaining the capacitor voltage is detailed in great detail. The proposed inverter is based on simulations and experiments, which show that it is both feasible and effective. Did you like this research project?
