PROJECT TITLE :

Modelling and Control of a Grid-connected PV System for Smart Grid Integration

ABSTRACT:

In this study, a grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) system is modelled and controlled in LabVIEW. It is possible to operate the proposed Control System in either maximum power point tracking (MPPT) or restricted power point tracking (LPPT) because of the Control System's ability to communicate with the grid operator (LPPT). There are several situations where the grid operator can limit some PV or wind generators in order to maintain system stability if there is a significant excess of renewable energy generation and low consumption. PV generators with the LPPT feature can be dispatched to maintain a limited power output under the direction of the distribution system operator, enabling interaction with the network.
