PROJECT TITLE :

Steady-State Voltage Stability Analysis and Improvement Strategies of Microgrid

ABSTRACT:

Microgrid development is aided by the rising penetration of distributed generation (DG) in the distribution network. The operating parameters of the double fed induction generator (DFIG), as a major DG unit in an isolated medium-voltage (MV) microgrid, have a significant impact on microgrid stability. The operating properties of DFIG in a microgrid are examined in this study. Management strategies based on energy storage system (ESS), pitch angle control of DFIG in local control layer are presented to improve the steady-state voltage stability of microgrid with DFIG, taking into account the constraints of microgrid operation modes. PSCAD/EMTDC is used to conduct the research. According to the findings, the proposed control solutions in various operation modes can significantly improve microgrid voltage stability during wind disturbances.
