Optimized approach of sobel edge detection technique using Xilinx system generator - 2015

ABSTRACT:

In this project a replacement methodology is utilised in which sobel X-Y edge detection combines with Gaussian filter using histogram stretching method. In recent days, the edge detection techniques come back to the picture with a very necessary utilization in medical business to detect tumors and fractures in the human body[one],[two],[three]. Thus In this project we have a tendency to firstly propose a replacement optimized edge detection technique which could be a better edge detection technique therefore far in our information in terms of improved mean sq. error(MSE) and image signal to noise ratio (PSNR) using very restricted resources used in the SPARTAN 3A DSP 3400A development platform FPGA kit.
