Robust stabilisation of power systems with random abrupt changes PROJECT TITLE :Robust stabilisation of Power Systems with random abrupt changesABSTRACT:This study considers the stabilisation of Power Systems subject to random jumps. Transient, permanent faults of power lines, and the consequent switching of the associated circuit breakers are represented as a discrete-time Markov chain. The controller is designed for Markov jump linear systems primarily based on transition probabilities obtained from statistical information of the faults. The linear matrix inequalities framework is employed as a tool for coming up with the proposed controller. The controller provides desired performance swiftness via regional pole placement with the constraint of system load variations and random variations within the topology. The effectiveness of the facility system stabiliser is studied on a single-machine infinite-bus and multi-machine systems. Did you like this research project?
