A Decentralized Reputation System for Blockchain-based Ecosystems called REPUTABLE PROJECT TITLE : REPUTABLE - A Decentralized Reputation System for Blockchain-based Ecosystems ABSTRACT: When it comes to facilitating trustworthy interactions between on-chain and off-chain services and users, reputation systems are an important and useful means. However, modern reputation management systems typically rely on a reliable centralized authority to protect the privacy of raters or on the addition of noise into the user feedback in order to function properly. In addition, the precision of reputation values is dependent on the honesty of user feedback or input; accordingly, this feedback must not be altered in any way or used for any other purpose. In this paper, a Blockchain-based reputation system called REPUTABLE (A Decentralized Reputation System for Blockchain-based Ecosystems) is presented. REPUTABLE is a system that calculates the reputation of service providers and external services operating within a Blockchain ecosystem using a decentralized implementation both on and off the chain. To be more specific, REPUTABLE safeguards not only users' privacy but also the dependability, integrity, and precision of reputation values, all with a bare minimum of administrative burden. It also makes it possible to perform certain data or statistical analytics functions on user feedback, all while maintaining the participants' security, privacy, accountability, and the inability to link their feedback to one another. We present a proof-of-concept implementation of the REPUTABLE system as well as a demonstration of its functionality. Finally, using both formal and empirical evaluation, we demonstrate that the system that we have proposed is effective in maintaining the anonymity of user feedback while also achieving a high level of performance when it is implemented using Blockchain technology.
