Grooming Future Engineers: All-girls robotics team thrives [Pipelining: Attractive Programs for Women] PROJECT TITLE :Grooming Future Engineers: All-girls robotics team thrives [Pipelining: Attractive Programs for Women]ABSTRACT:A new robotics team at the all-women high college at St. Mary's Academy (SMA) in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado, is making waves within the robotics community. The SMAbotics team attended its first competitions in 2013 and 2014 and did well enough to compete in regionals in its first year. The team had a combine of eight girls in its initial year, mainly juniors and seniors, and at the start of the team's second year more than 20 with a big selection of interests can participate.
