3-D Display by Referenceless Phase Holography PROJECT TITLE :3-D Display by Referenceless Phase HolographyABSTRACT:Referenceless part holography (RELPH) could be a new method for generating full optical wavefields with predetermined intensity and section. The strategy relies on the interference of two mutually coherent part fields modulated by 2 spatial lightweight modulators of the liquid crystal on silicon kind. Contrary to classical holography, this approach will not reconstruct twin images, thus it is a promising candidate for future holographic three-D TV. After introduction into the theory of RELPH, the technical realization is discussed and the first results are presented. Did you like this research project?
