A Millimeter-Wave System of Antenna Array and Metamaterial Lens


We propose a system of antenna array and metamaterial lens in the millimeter-wave frequency, in that the linear antenna array controls the radiation beam within the horizontal direction, whereas the metamaterial lens controls the radiation beam within the vertical direction. Numerical simulation and experiment results agree well with every other. It is shown that the antenna system with gain of twenty eight.7 dB exhibits a fascinating beamwidth of 9.nine ° in the yz-plane and beamwidth of three.five ° within the xz-plane at the central frequency thirty seven.five GHz.
