ABSTRACT:

Video-on-demand streaming services have gained popularity over the past few years. A rise in the speed of the access networks has conjointly led to a bigger range of users watching videos on-line. Online video streaming traffic is estimated to additional increase from this price of 57p.c to sixty nine% by 2017, Cisco, 2014. So as to retain the present users and attract new users, service suppliers attempt to satisfy the user's expectations and provide a satisfactory viewing expertise. The primary step toward providing a satisfactory service is to be able to quantify the users' perception of the current service level. Quality of expertise (QoE) could be a quality metric that provides a holistic live of the users' perception of the standard.
