PROJECT TITLE :
Programmable Construction of Nanostructures: Assembly of Nanostructures with Various Nanocomponents.
ABSTRACT:
The programmable assembly of nanostructures with various nanocomponents, e.g., nanoparticles (NPs), is useful for a wide range of significant applications, from medicine to new types of electronics, and a variety of new materials with interesting properties, from optical and electrical to structural. Bottom-up DNA-based self-assembly has emerged as a powerful and practical strategy for producing such nanostructures in a controllable way [1]–[4]. The unique molecular recognition properties, structural features, and relative ease of manipulation of DNA are the driving forces to achieve programmable self-assembly of nanostructures.
