DESCRIPTION Chasis of HCV is a steel welded Structure of size 3.65m (L) x 2.3m (W) built on the TATA LPTA 713 supplied by the User manufactured at Vehicle factory, Jabalpur. The chasis is for carrying Shelter mounted Electronic Equipment and its accessories. The Design of the Vehicle chasis is carried so as to carry the below mentioned items. The chasis design is optimized to keep the weight to be the minimum. Finite Element Analysis is carried out is for verification. The Chasis has provision to fix the following major equipment. Shelter: A Shelter of size 1.9m (L) x 1.9m (W) x 1.5m (H) will be fixed on to the Chasis with bottom four ISO corners using four Twist locks provided on the Chasis.Generators: Two Generators -5.5 KVA each are mounted on the front portion of the Chasis (behind Driver’s Cabin).A frame covering the Generators with a provision for the exhaust and hot air outlet with maintenance door is provided. At the top of the Generators provision for storage of the DF Antenna Elements. Automatic Change over switch for the generators is located near to the Generators.DF Mast: DF Mast is located between the Shelter and Generators. For better stability and to obtain verticality, the DF mast is located centrally.  The chasis is fixed with Manual leveling Jacks which can be easily operated by the Operator. By leveling the chasis, the DF Mast is made Vertical. The Vehicle chasis is fitted with a Foldable Step Ladder to enter into the Shelter and a Light weight Tubular ladder for going on to the chasis at the Generators location and DF Mast location. The ladders are fitted to the Vehicle Chasis. Structural Analysis Report of chasis The following analysis are to be carried out to study the structural integrity of the “chasis” under various loading conditions: Static analysis with only equipment load applied. (The vehicle is stationary and jack in retracted position).Static analysis in deployment mode. (The vehicle is lifted from ground with jacks. Loads on chasis include equipment as well as bare vehicle weight and wind load.)Vibration analysis.· Modal analysis to find the Natural Frequencies· Harmonic analysis· Random Vibration Analysis applying equipment load.· Bump Analysis.ImprovementsMODELING Chasis 3-D model created using Pro-E Wildfire 2.0 from the 2-D AutoCad Drawing Sheets. Dimensioning Standards: · SI standards are used.· All dimensions are maintained in millimeters (mm).
