Bumpless Control for Reduced THD in Power Factor Correction Circuits - 2016 PROJECT TITLE :Bumpless Control for Reduced THD in Power Factor Correction Circuits - 2016ABSTRACT:It's well known that power issue correction (PFC) circuits suffer from 2 fundamentally totally different operating modes over a given AC input cycle. These 2 modes, continuous conduction mode (CCM) and discontinuous conduction mode (DCM), have very totally different frequency-response characteristics that may create control design for PFC circuits difficult. The drawback is exacerbated by tries to improve potency by dynamically adjusting the PWM switching frequency based on the load. Adjusting the PWM frequency primarily based on the load limits controller bandwidth and restricts dynamic performance. Prior work has made use of multiple controllers, but, they need not addressed the discontinuity (bump) that exists when switching between controllers. During this paper, bumpless controllers will be synthesized for a 750 watt, semi-bridgeless PFC for the CCM-DCM operating modes. Did you like this research project?
