PROJECT TITLE :

Dual Buck Inverter with Series Connected Diodes andSingle Inductor - 2016

ABSTRACT:

In a very DC-AC system, some issues might threaten the reliability of the whole system, like the shoot through issue and also the failure of reverse recovery. Some ways are proposed to enhance the reliability of the converters. The twin buck inverters will solve the on top of problems while not adding dead time however the twin buck topology contains a main disadvantage of low magnetic utilization that will increase the volume and weight of the system. This paper firstly summarizes the traditional twin buck topologies together with a quite single inductor dual buck inverter which will create full use of the inductance. Then a technique to enhance the reliability of the MOSFET inverter is proposed. A reasonably novel twin buck inverter with series connected diodes and single inductor is introduced. The novel inverter retains the dual buck topologies' advantage of high reliability and can create full use of the inductance. Conjointly, compared to the ancient single inductor dual buck topology, the controlling strategy of the proposed inverter is easier. Finally, the simulation and experimental results verified the theoretical analysis.
