Joint Resource Allocation for Software-Defined Networking, Caching, and Computing - 2018 PROJECT TITLE :Joint Resource Allocation for Software-Defined NetWorking, Caching, and Computing - 2018ABSTRACT:Although some wonderful works are done on NetWorking, caching, and computing, these three necessary areas have historically been addressed separately in the literature. During this Project, we describe the recent advances in jointing NetWorking, caching, and computing and present a unique integrated framework: software-defined NetWorking, caching, and computing (SD-NCC). SD-NCC allows dynamic orchestration of NetWorking, caching, and computing resources to efficiently meet the wants of various applications and improve the end-to-finish system performance. Energy consumption is taken into account as an necessary issue when performing resource placement during this Project. Specifically, we tend to study the joint caching, computing, and bandwidth resource allocation for SD-NCC and formulate it as an optimization problem. Likewise, to scale back computational complexity and signaling overhead, we tend to propose a distributed algorithm to solve the formulated drawback, primarily based on recent advances in alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM), in which totally different network nodes solely need to resolve their own problems without exchange of caching/computing decisions with quick convergence rate. Simulation results show the effectiveness of our proposed framework and ADMM-primarily based algorithm with different system parameters. Did you like this research project?
