Primary frequency control using hierarchal fuzzy logic for a windfarm based mostly on SCIG connected to electrical network


This paper proposes a hierarchal PI-fuzzy-PI (PIFPI) controller for a wind farm based on the squirrel cage induction generator (SCIG) to participate effectively in Primary Frequency Control (PFC) when there is an unbalance between power demand and supply. Indeed, the wind power plants have to take care of a sure level of power reserves according to the grid code needs. The proposed approach is compared to alternative system control to demonstrate the advantages of the adopted controller.
