PROJECT TITLE :

Reactive power redispatch for loss reduction using a modified power flow jacobian

ABSTRACT :

This study addresses the matter of reactive power redispatch underneath bilateral power transactions. The proposed approach is to reduce active loss in a very essential area, underneath the voltage collapse point of view, which is identified by the tangent vector technique. A technique that uses an augmented load flow Jacobian is proposed to redispatch the reactive power and will be simply implemented in ordinary power flow programmes. Tests with the IEEE 14-bus check system and with a true Brazilian-107 bus system are dole out for instance the proposed approach. Results obtained by solving an optimal power flow drawback are presented for validation functions. This study addresses the problem of reactive power redispatch beneath bilateral power transactions. Results obtained by solving an optimal power flow downside are presented for validation functions.
