Overview of the Australian national electricity market transmission use of system charges for integrating renewable generation to existing grid PROJECT TITLE :Overview of the Australian national electricity market transmission use of system charges for integrating renewable generation to existing gridABSTRACT :The Australian government has introduced the expanded renewable energy target theme that aims to make sure that twenty% of Australia??s electricity supply is generated from renewable sources by 20twenty. Hence, this will drive giant changes and have direct effects on behaviour and investment in Australia??s market setting especially transmission use of system (TUoS) charges theme. Therefore this study is intended to explore the TUoS charges in the Australian national electricity market (NEM) to the development of renewable generation. There are three problems that are centered during this paper: (i) the transmission configurations for connecting the remote generation cluster to the prevailing grid; (ii) the Australian NEM TUoS charges; and (iii) the Australian energy market operator policy on the allocation of the price of providing shared transmission services to totally different parties for brand new and existing terminal stations. The fifty nine-bus system of the South East Australian Power System is employed for the case study so as to verify the ideas and confirm the economical and economic approach to attach a brand new renewable generation to the existing grid.
