Growing into a Leadership Role: Pressner encourages women to learn along the way [Career Advisor]

ABSTRACT:

Kristen Pressner has a passion for encouraging women to step into leadership roles. Each as half of her day job in human resources (HR)-she currently is the vice chairman and head of HR for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America for Roche Diagnostics-as well as through the opportunities she's had to talk to girls across the globe, Pressner offers a decision to action, practical tips, and stories from her own expertise as to how ladies can take on leadership roles in their careers and ignore concerns they may have about their talents or the impact on work-life balance. A mother of 4, she provides a distinctive perspective as someone who has returned from maternity leave (repeatedly), sits as a top female executive at a large global company, and works in HR, so having a read "backstage." What Pressner will not provide, however, are all the answers.
