Some Analytical Results on Tuning Fractional-Order [Proportional–Integral] Controllers for Fractional-Order Systems

ABSTRACT:

The primary objective of this temporary is to discover the answer existence conditions in the methods recently proposed for tuning fractional-order [proportional–integral] (FO-[PI]) controllers. The FO-[PI] controller tuned by these methods will simultaneously guarantee the desired part margin, the required gain crossover frequency, and also the flatness of the phase Bode plot at such a frequency. During this brief, the achievable performance region of these tuning ways is also found within the gain crossover frequency–phase margin plane. Moreover, some results on the shape of this region and the distinctiveness of the controller ensuing from the thought of tuning ways are given. By combining the presented results and people previously obtained on fractional-order [proportional–by-product] tuning methods, a helpful result on the fractional-order Control System design is derived. Further, simplified forms for tuning ways previously proposed within the literature are obtained. Also to verify the practical usefulness of outcomes of this temporary, some experimental results on velocity management of a dc motor are presented.
