Flexible System Integration and Advanced Hierarchical Control Architectures in the Microgrid Research Laboratory of Aalborg University PROJECT TITLE :Flexible System Integration and Advanced Hierarchical Control Architectures in the Microgrid Research Laboratory of Aalborg UniversityABSTRACT:This paper presents the system integration and hierarchical control implementation in an inverter-primarily based Microgrid Analysis Laboratory (MGRL) at Aalborg University, Denmark. MGRL aims to produce a versatile experimental platform for comprehensive studies of microgrids. The structure of the laboratory, as well as the facilities, configurations, and Communication network, is 1st introduced. The whole Control System is based on a generic hierarchical management scheme including primary, secondary, and tertiary management. Primary control loops are developed and implemented in digital management platform, whereas system supervision, advanced secondary, and tertiary management are realized in an exceedingly microgrid central controller. The software and hardware schemes are described. Several example case studies are introduced and performed to realize power quality regulation, energy management, and flywheel energy storage system management. Experimental results are presented to point out the performance of the entire system. Did you like this research project? To get this research project Guidelines, Training and Code...
