Experimental feasibility study of concentrating photovoltaic power system for cubesat applications PROJECT TITLE :Experimental feasibility study of concentrating photovoltaic Power System for cubesat applicationsABSTRACT:The ability to provide sufficient power is an important issue in assuring the success of the difficult and complex cube satellite (CubeSat) missions among an extremely little size. A CubeSat has solely a restricted surface area on that solar panels can be put in to get power. The incidence angle of sunlight on the solar panels also varies in keeping with the revolution and rotation of the satellite. These are vital parameters for determining the amount of power that a CubeSat will generate. In this study, we tend to propose a concentrating photovoltaic system for CubeSats that enhances the efficiency of power generation by effectively concentrating the solar energy on the solar panels by using a multi-array lens system beneath the worst condition for sun incidence angle. The feasibility of using the concentrating photovoltaic system for CubeSat applications is demonstrated by power measurement tests employing a solar simulator and a business multi-array lens underneath varied light-weight supply angles.
