PROJECT TITLE :

Parameter Sensitivity Analysis and Local Temperature Distribution Effect for a PEMFC System

ABSTRACT:

Parameters identification and determination are necessary in the fuel cell model development, particularly for multiphysic modeling that includes several sensitive semiempirical parameters. During this paper, the parameter sensitivities are investigated based mostly on a well-developed one.two-kW multiphysic proton exchange membrane fuel cell model. Moreover, to get a whole fuel cell system model, the models of auxiliaries such as the air compressor and cooling fan are developed. Through the analysis, the effect of some physical parameters on the fuel cell performance are obtained. Specifically, stack temperature may be a crucial parameter which influences not solely the output voltage, but additionally the water content within the fuel cell membrane. The influence of nonuniform distribution of temperature on the fuel cell model is mentioned still, including the tip plate and local heating effects.
