Electrically Large Resonant Cavity Loaded With -Negative and -Negative Metamaterials PROJECT TITLE :Electrically Large Resonant Cavity Loaded With -Negative and -Negative MetamaterialsABSTRACT:An electrically massive resonant cavity (ELRC) operated at the TM10zero dominant mode with unconstrained physical size is proposed during this letter. The rectangular cavity is crammed partially by ε-negative metamaterial and μ-negative metamaterial. Modal equation for the dominant mode TM10zero of the ELRC is deduced based on the cavity model theory. Numerical results indicate that the resonant frequency can be increased in a very abundant degree in comparison to the cavity composed of normal material. Finally, electrical field distributions of the proposed cavity are plotted, and the quality factor is calculated to verify the resonant property of the ELRC, which shows it's a sensible candidate for the electrically giant antenna applications.
