Social-Aware Peer Discovery for D2D Communications Underlaying Cellular Networks PROJECT TITLE :Social-Aware Peer Discovery for D2D Communications Underlaying Cellular NetworksABSTRACT:With emerging demands for local area services, device-to-device (D2D) Communication is conceived as a very important component for the following-generation cellular networks to boost spectral reuse, bring hop gains, and enhance system capability. Ripening these edges depends on efficiently solving several main technical problems, among that peer discovery about to probe the D2D Communication contacts is critically challenging. During this paper, we tend to propose a social-aware peer discovery theme for D2D Communications, which exploits social network characteristics for aiding the unexpected peer discovery. During this scheme, the D2D users in the network are first divided into groups in line with their social metrics of community and centralities, and then optimal beacons probing rate with constant intervals is decided for each group of users. Through in depth simulations with real human mobility traces, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed scheme, that significantly increases the peer discovery ratio and enhances the information transmission performance compared with the present schemes.
