Suboptimal aperture radar imaging by combination of pseudo-polar formatting and gridless sparse recovery method PROJECT TITLE :Suboptimal aperture radar imaging by combination of pseudo-polar formatting and gridless sparse recovery methodABSTRACT:Imaging radar with a suboptimal aperture length sometimes includes a poor azimuth resolution thanks to the restricted aperture length and sparse non-uniform linear array configuration. To address this drawback, an imaging algorithm combining pseudo-polar formatting and gridless sparse recovery methodology is proposed. After pseudo-polar formatting the echo signal, reweighted atomic norm minimisation is implemented for azimuth imaging to attain performance with improved resolution and freed from off-grid effect. Experiments on ground-primarily based synthetic aperture radar verify the performance of the proposed algorithm. Did you like this research project?
