Where Analog Meets Digital: Analog?to?Information Conversion and Beyond PROJECT TITLE :Where Analog Meets Digital: Analog?to?Information Conversion and BeyondABSTRACT:Energy efficiency, long battery life, and low latency are key attributes of the many emerging ultralow-power sensing and monitoring systems. Applications like forever-on reactive sensors for natural human-device interfaces, furthermore multiple client and industrial applications for the Web of Things (IoT), require ultralow-power styles beyond the promise of state-of-the art knowledge converters. These devices demand a replacement approach to analog-digital system partitioning with the goal of vital overall reduction in energy consumption. Unlike most multimedia systems, several IoT applications need signal info extraction or signature extraction, instead of full reconstruction of the initial sensed waveforms. Beneath these conditions, Nyquist rate sampling may now not provide the optimal digitization scheme. Recent work on different sensor digitization strategies targets drastic sampling rate reductions in analog-to-digital conversion, while preserving the precious relevant data (information) present within the sensed signal. This text aims to grant an overview of the rising field of analog-to-info conversion in light of various sub-Nyquist sampling techniques recently showing in literature,as well as to focus on some of the opportunities, challenges, and new applications such converters supply.
