PROJECT TITLE :

Cyber attack mitigation for cyber–physical systems: hybrid system approach to controller design

ABSTRACT:

This study considers strong controller design for cyber-physical systems (CPSs) subject to cyber attacks. While previous studies have investigated secure management by assuming specific attack strategies, in this study the authors propose a sturdy hybrid control theme containing multiple sub-controllers, each matched to a completely different type of cyber attack. A system using this control scheme is ready to adapt its behaviour to varied cyber attacks (together with those that haven't been specifically addressed within the sub-controller styles) by switching sub-controllers to achieve the simplest performance. They propose a method for planning the secure switching logic to counter potential cyber attacks and to mathematically verify the system's performance and stability furthermore. The performance of the proposed management scheme is demonstrated by the hybrid H2-H∞ controller applied to a CPS subject to cyber attacks.
