Near-Arbitrary Polarization from Tunable Crossed End-Loaded Dipoles PROJECT TITLE :Near-Arbitrary Polarization from Tunable Crossed End-Loaded DipolesABSTRACT:Previous work has used crossed dipoles with properly designed dimensions to radiate circularly polarized waves. Inserting tunable components on the dipoles allows dynamic reconfiguration of their impedance characteristics, therefore enabling control of the polarization without the requirement for section shifters. The antenna reported herein allows for either left- or right-handed circular polarization, along with linear in numerous orientations.
