Thermally Modulated Slow Light in Magnetic Fluid Photonic Crystal PROJECT TITLE :Thermally Modulated Slow Light in Magnetic Fluid Photonic CrystalABSTRACT:Magnetic fluid may be a new type of optical useful material. When it's made as a film, a hexagonal order structure will be fashioned beneath an external magnetic field. This novel magnetic-field dependent structure may be considered a reasonably magnetic fluid photonic crystal. The slow light property within the magnetic fluid photonic crystal was studied in this letter. It was pointed that the geometry parameters of the structure might be tuned by changing the applied temperature. Additionally, photonic bandgap and group velocity as a perform of temperature were simulated. The results showed that the higher and lower normalized frequency of the photonic bandgap would both shift to higher frequencies, and also the maximal group velocity Did you like this research project?
