PROJECT TITLE :

Wireless Sensor Network Virtualization: A Survey

ABSTRACT:

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are the key parts of the emerging Web-of-Things (IoT) paradigm. They are currently ubiquitous and employed in a plurality of application domains. WSNs are still domain specific and sometimes deployed to support a selected application. But, as WSNs' nodes are changing into additional and additional powerful, it is obtaining a lot of and more pertinent to research how multiple applications might share a terribly same WSN infrastructure. Virtualization may be a technology that may potentially enable this sharing. This paper could be a survey on WSN virtualization. It provides a comprehensive review of the state-of-the-art and an in-depth discussion of the research problems. We tend to introduce the basics of WSN virtualization and encourage its pertinence with fastidiously selected situations. Existing works are presented in detail and critically evaluated employing a set of needs derived from the situations. The pertinent analysis projects also are reviewed. Several research problems are also mentioned with hints on how they may be tackled.
