Grid-Connected Photovoltaic Plants: An Alternative Energy Source, Replacing Conventional Sources PROJECT TITLE :Grid-Connected Photovoltaic Plants: An Alternative Energy Source, Replacing Conventional SourcesABSTRACT:Giant photovoltaic (PV) plants are being engineered all over the globe, commonly having ratings up to one MW and reaching the level of 250 MW. These plants might be another energy source, replacing conventional sources and solving humanity?s energy dilemma. However, the associated electronic systems, mainly inverters used for interfacing with the grid, have to unravel some issues related to the operation in the electrical distribution system. They should be reliable, strong, and manageable. This text presents and discusses the foremost crucial points existing in actual inverters, summarizing, explaining, and proposing approaches to solve or mitigate them.
