PROJECT TITLE :

An SNMP-Based Solution to Enable Remote ISO/IEEE 11073 Technical Management

ABSTRACT :

This paper presents the design and implementation of an architecture based on the integration of easy network management protocol version three (SNMPv3) and the standard ISO/IEEE 11073 (X73) to manage technical info in home-primarily based telemonitoring eventualities. This design includes the development of an SNMPv3-proxyX73 agent that comprises a management info base (MIB) module adapted to X73. Within the proposed scenario, medical devices (MDs) send info to a concentrator device [designated as compute engine (CE)] using the X73 standard. This info along with extra data collected within the CE is stored in the developed MIB. Finally, the knowledge collected is offered for remote access via SNMP connection. Moreover, alarms and events will be configured by an external manager so as to supply warnings of irregularities within the MDs’ technical performance evaluation. This proposed SNMPv3 agent provides a answer to integrate and unify technical device management in home-based mostly telemonitoring scenarios absolutely custom-made to X73.
