PROJECT TITLE :

A Computing Perspective on Smart City [Guest Editorial]

ABSTRACT:

The papers in this special section focus on next generation urbanization that comes with good town development. The development of smart cities is viewed as the key to the next generation urbanization method for improving the potency, reliability, and security of a ancient town. The concept of smart town includes varied aspects like environmental sustainability, social sustainability, regional competitiveness, natural resources management, cybersecurity, and quality of life improvement. With the huge deployment of networked good devices/sensors, an unprecedentedly large amount of sensory data can be collected and processed by advanced computing paradigms, which are the enabling techniques for smart town. As an example, given historical environmental, population, and economic data, salient modeling and analytics are needed to simulate the impact of potential town planning methods, which can be essential for intelligent decision-creating.
