Using Immersive Virtual Reality to Reduce Work Accidents in Developing Countries PROJECT TITLE :Using Immersive Virtual Reality to Reduce Work Accidents in Developing CountriesABSTRACT:Thousands of individuals die or are injured in work accidents each year. Although the shortage of safety equipment is one among the causes, particularly in developing countries, behavioral issues caused by psychosocial factors also are accountable. This text introduces the utilization of immersive VR simulators to preventively cut back accidents within the workplace by detecting behavioral patterns that will lead to an increased predisposition to risk exposure. The system simulates day-to-day things, analyzes user reactions, and classifies the behaviors per four psychosocial groups. The results of a user study support the effectiveness of this approach.
