A wake-up consumer device for enhanced emergency alert service in T-DMB systems PROJECT TITLE :A wake-up consumer device for enhanced emergency alert service in T-DMB systemsABSTRACT:This paper presents a novel wake-up client device for emergency alert service in T-DMB systems. The wakeup equipment will activate a disabled T-DMB receiver in order to receive the emergency alert message in the case of emergency. The proposed wake-up technique consists of 2 stages. As the primary stage, the wake-up technique performs a rough detection. A simple correlation is used within the coarse detection. For the correlation, a predefined preamble is employed during the null-image time in the T-DMB frame. Then, a fine detection is performed because the second stage. For the fine detection, a flag detection method is proposed, which gives better detection performance than the traditional detection approach. Furthermore, the wake-up scheme will enhance the receiver performance for emergency alert service in T-DMB systems. Once the wake-up signal is identified, the enabled T-DMB receiver activates a sophisticated channel estimator for better receiver performance. The advanced channel estimator relies on an adaptive estimation methodology for a lot of correct estimation, that leads to the improved emergency alert service in T-DMB systems.
