High Step-Up/Step-Down Soft-Switching Bidirectional DC–DC Converter With Coupled-Inductor and Voltage Matching Control for Energy Storage Systems PROJECT TITLE :High Step-Up/Step-Down Soft-Switching Bidirectional DC–DC Converter With Coupled-Inductor and Voltage Matching Control for Energy Storage SystemsABSTRACT:A soft-switching bidirectional dc-dc converter (BDC) with a coupled-inductor and a voltage doubler cell is proposed for prime step-up/step-down voltage conversion applications. A dual-active 0.5-bridge (DAHB) converter is integrated into a conventional buck-boost BDC to increase the voltage gain dramatically and reduce switch voltage stresses effectively. The coupled inductor operates not only as a filter inductor of the buck-boost BDC, however conjointly as a transformer of the DAHB converter. The input voltage of the DAHB converter is shared with the output of the buck-boost BDC. Therefore, PWM management will be adopted to the buck-boost BDC to confirm that the voltage on the two sides of the DAHB converter is often matched. Thus, the circulating current and conduction losses will be lowered to improve potency. Section-shift control is adopted to the DAHB converter to regulate the facility flows of the proposed BDC. Moreover, zero-voltage switching (ZVS) is achieved for all the active switches to cut back the switching losses. The operational principles and characteristics of the proposed BDC are presented intimately. The analysis and performance have been absolutely validated experimentally on a forty-60 V/four hundred V 1-kW hardware prototype. Did you like this research project?
