Bridgeless SEPIC PFC Converter for Low TotalHarmonic Distortion and High Power Factor - 2016

ABSTRACT:

There is a need to improve the power quality of the grid as well as the facility factor implied on the grid thanks to the nonlinear hundreds connected to it. A brand new single phase bridgeless AC/DC power issue correction (PFC) topology to boost the facility issue plus the whole harmonic distortion (THD) of the utility grid is proposed during this analysis. By eliminating the input bridge in standard PFC converters, the management circuit is simplified; the overall harmonics distortion THD and power issue PF are improved. The controller operates in multi loop fashion as the outer management loop calculates the reference current through innovative filtering and Signal Processing. Inner current loop generates PWM switching signals through the PI controller. Analytical derivation of the proposed converter is presented very well. Performance of the proposed PFC topology is verified for prototype using PSIM circuit simulations. The experimental system is developed, and also the experimental results consider simulation results.
