Hybrid Modulation of Dual Inverter for Open-End Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor - 2015 PROJECT TITLE: Hybrid Modulation of Dual Inverter for Open-End Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor - 2015 ABSTRACT: This paper analyzes the twin inverter driven open-finish permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) system and proposes control technique that will generate most output power in overall speed vary for integrated starter/alternator. Twin inverter driven open-finish machine system consists of 2 inverters which are connected to the each ends of the machine winding. By disconnecting one inverter from the facility source, the dc-link voltage of flying capacitor will be boosted through the machine. As a result of one inverter is connected to the sole power supply, output power of the machine is regulated by the supply connected inverter. During this paper, modulation method for maximizing output power of inverter and motor with reduced harmonic and loss is proposed. It's a hybrid modulation combining six-step and pulse width modulations. With proposed technique, potency and operation space are improved and price of entire driving system is also decreased because of the removing of dc-dc converter. Analyses, ways, management method, and simulation results are descripted. The experiments with PMSM are accomplished to verify the feasibility of proposed method. Did you like this research project?
