PROJECT TITLE :

Consistent Disaster Recovery for Microservices: the BAC Theorem - 2018

ABSTRACT:

How do you keep a copy a microservice? You dump its database. But how do you duplicate a complete application decomposed into microservices? In this text, we have a tendency to discuss the tradeoff between the supply and consistency of a microservice-primarily based architecture when a backup of the complete application is being performed. We tend to demonstrate that service designers have to select two out of three qualities: backup, availability, and/or consistency (BAC). Service designers should also take into account how to accommodate consequences such as broken links, orphan state, and missing state.
