PROJECT TITLE:

Receiver Cooperation in Topology Control for Wireless Ad-Hoc Networks -2015

ABSTRACT:

We propose employing receiver cooperation in centralized topology management to improve energy efficiency also network connectivity. The plan of transmitter cooperation has been widely thought-about in topology management to enhance network connectivity or energy potency. However, receiver cooperation has not previously been thought of in topology control. In particular, we tend to show that we will improve both connectivity and energy efficiency if we tend to use receiver cooperation in addition to transmitter cooperation. Consequently, we tend to conclude that a system based mostly both on transmitter and receiver cooperation is usually superior to at least one based mostly solely on transmitter cooperation. We have a tendency to also show that the rise in network connectivity caused by using transmitter cooperation in addition to receiver cooperation is at the expense of significantly increased energy consumption. Consequently, system designers might opt for receiver-solely cooperation in cases for that energy efficiency is of the very best priority or when connectivity increase is not a serious concern.
