PROJECT TITLE :

Improving Power System stabilisers performance under sustained random perturbations

ABSTRACT :

This study provides indicators to characterise the performance of an electrical Power System subjected to sustained random perturbations in time. Based mostly on these indicators, a methodology is proposed so as to carry out a fine adjustment of PSS parameters. The goal of this procedure is to enhance the potency of traditional tuning techniques, that are primarily based on tiny signal stability criteria. The proposed methodology is applied to 2 international take a look at systems of 9 and 39 buses.
