Impedance-Differential Protection: A New Approach to Transmission-Line Pilot Protection PROJECT TITLE :Impedance-Differential Protection: A New Approach to Transmission-Line Pilot ProtectionABSTRACT:Differential protection is able to produce the most selective protection compared with alternative protecting schemes. During this paper, a replacement differential scheme is proposed for pilot protection of transmission lines. The concept of differential impedance ($rm Z_rm diff$ ) is introduced using the synchronous voltages and currents of each terminals of the line. The proposed theme is capable of fast discriminating between the internal and external faults, even in the worst operating conditions. The dependence on the road capacitive charging current and also the source strength are common issues in conventional pilot protection strategies that are removed within the proposed theme. Moreover, compared with the traditional differential protection, the proposed theme can exactly verify the fault location. Each computer and experimental simulation studies have been performed to guage the proposed theme. The obtained results approve the high efficiency of the proposed scheme as powerful pilot protection. Did you like this research project? To get this research project Guidelines, Training and Code...
