PROJECT TITLE :
Management education for engineers: research issues in the context of south africa
Economic activity is underpinned by availability of a well educated and skilled labour force. Leadership for growing businesses comes from having skills acquired from postgraduate education in business management and leadership. But, whereas such realities appear to have been recognised and addressed to nice measure within the west, the African continent has lagged to its detriment. This paper contains an outline with relevant insights into higher education in South Africa and the problems relating to management education needs for industry as an entire and also the engineering profession in management cadre in specific.
