This paper evaluates the result of rubrics and oral feedback on student learning outcomes. An experiment was conducted during a software engineering course on necessities engineering, using the 2 approaches in course assignments. Each approaches led to statistically vital improvements, though no material improvement (i.e., a modification by more than one grade) was achieved. The rubrics led to a vital decrease in the quantity of complaints and queries concerning grades.
