PROJECT TITLE :

Parasitic-Aware Design of Integrated DC–DC Converters With Spiral Inductors

ABSTRACT:

Integrated dc–dc converters are widely used for the conclusion of power converters appropriate for energy harvesting and computing systems. In such systems, integrated converters are the ideal candidate due to their little size and low power consumption. Integrated dc–dc converters sometimes use spiral inductors to realize high levels of integration and performance. But, below eventualities where energy scarcity is paramount, the integrated converter with spiral inductor needs careful modeling and optimization to realize maximum efficiency. During this paper, we tend to offer a parasitic aware design technique that takes into consideration the spiral inductor resistance yet because the switching parasitics, while utilizing numerical ways, to arrive at converter designs with robust performance and optimal efficiency. We have a tendency to translate the varied system constraints into style rules and use them to formulate the various design parameters, from switching frequency to duty cycle, in terms of the inductance. We have a tendency to study how these parameters are obsessed with each different, giving rise to multiple tradeoffs. We have a tendency to also gift a methodology for minimizing power losses using optimization techniques, that leverage our formulation of the system parameters in terms of inductance.
