PROJECT TITLE :

A Novel Inverter for Arc Welding Machines

ABSTRACT:

This paper presents a circuit structure with a completely unique inverter that's applicable to arc welding machines. The output rectifier configuration adopts this doubler rectifier with 2 coupled inductors. The proposed inverter topology can keep the energy stored within the coupled inductor till the following commutation interval. Moreover, the conduction loss will be lower, that improve the conversion potency of the arc welding machine. The operation principle, management circuit, and inverter style example are also described intimately. Experimental results demonstrate the feasibility and potency of the proposed inverter topology.
