PROJECT TITLE :
Turning Back the Clock
When you think of the centers of futuristic automotive style, Afghanistan probably doesn't come to mind. However bike mechanic Mustafa Muhammadi designed and built this enclosed two-seater motorcycle in about six weeks, using automotive tires and motorcycle elements. He showed off his handiwork???that he says value ninety,000 afghanis (roughly US $one,600) to urge traveling???in Kabul in December. What sets the three-wheeler apart is that it's all electrical. A solar panel on its roof supplements the energy within the plug-in vehicle's batteries, extending its range to 40 kilometers on a single charge. And just in case the trike will run out of juice, Muhammadi included pedals thus that it will run on human power until it reaches a charging station.
