Turning Back the Clock PROJECT TITLE :Turning Back the ClockABSTRACT:When you think of the centers of futuristic automotive style, Afghanistan probably doesn't come to mind. However bike mechanic Mustafa Muhammadi designed and built this enclosed two-seater motorcycle in about six weeks, using automotive tires and motorcycle elements. He showed off his handiwork???that he says value ninety,000 afghanis (roughly US $one,600) to urge traveling???in Kabul in December. What sets the three-wheeler apart is that it's all electrical. A solar panel on its roof supplements the energy within the plug-in vehicle's batteries, extending its range to 40 kilometers on a single charge. And just in case the trike will run out of juice, Muhammadi included pedals thus that it will run on human power until it reaches a charging station. Did you like this research project?
